Uruguay is one of the favorite teams on in the Group D part of the World Cup. The issue that Uruguay has is that Group D is also one of the heaviest groups for teams who have potential to win quite a few of their games and even advance on. However, the Uruguay squad has been looking good as they recently won the Copa America in 2011 and will look to repeat this effort, like the 1950 squad. A major issue that the Uruguay team has to overcome is the injury of one of their stars in Luis Suarez who is coming off of knee surgery in late May.

For Costa Rica the team barely made it past the qualifying round for the World Cup and does not look to advance very far with the competition that is already in the group Costa Rica qualified for.
